Clients I Work With
Hi, I’m Adam, a Resident in Counseling at the Loop Center. I work with teens, young adults (college students), adults, and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, family conflict, and self-esteem. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or unsure how to move forward—therapy can be a space to gain clarity, rebuild connection, and create meaningful change.
I support clients with both the daily stressors of life and deeper emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Past experiences—especially unresolved emotional memories—often shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world.
Approach
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns, EMDR therapy to process trauma and distressing experiences, and Person-Centered Therapy to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can be fully yourself. Treatment is tailored to your goals, values, and pace.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two kids, traveling to Northern Virginia for great food, and relaxing around our backyard fire pit. If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, practical, and authentic—and who believes in helping you be the best version of yourself, on and off the field—I’d be glad to connect.
More About My Practice
At The Loop Center, our work is grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen through safe, supportive relationships. We offer family-centered, relationship-based psychotherapy that honors each child’s unique strengths and developmental needs, while also recognizing the vital role caregivers play in the therapeutic process.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems theory, and play therapy, we tailor each session to meet the emotional, behavioral, and relational goals of the child and their family. We work collaboratively with parents to foster connection, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen resilience—both in children and within the family system as a whole.
Sessions are rooted in compassion, humor, and active listening, creating a space where children, adolescents, and families feel seen, heard, and supported.
