OUR MISSION
Make online therapy more accessible by supporting the providers who make it possible.
We help providers get found where they can offer care, build stronger referral relationships, and feel less alone in online practice. Our goal is to support both the search for care and the professional connections behind it.
Our public directory brings licensed states, specialties, and services together in one provider profile. Our private community gives clinicians a place to share referrals, exchange ideas, and connect with colleagues who understand online practice.

The directory includes online therapists and medication management providers. Search by the state where you need care, then compare providers by specialty, services, insurance, and approach.
For providers, one listing can show every state where they are licensed. That makes it easier to describe the full reach of an online practice in one place.
Therapy Expanded helps you discover and connect with providers. Mental health care is provided by the individual professionals listed in the directory.

The private provider community creates space to meet colleagues across states and disciplines, share referral needs and openings, and ask practice-related questions.
Live educational events, peer consultation groups, and networking meetings offer more ways to learn from one another and build relationships over time.

For people whose lives span states
People moving, attending college away from home, or spending time in different states can look for providers licensed in the places where they need support. Confirm with the provider that they can offer care from each location.
For providers building an online practice
Make your practice visible across your licensed states and develop referral relationships beyond your local area. Providers who offer online care are welcome whether they hold one state license or several, and whether their practice is fully online or a mix of online and in-person services.
WHY WE BUILT IT
Created from the realities of online practice.
When Meghan expanded her online therapy practice into multiple states, she found that having a license did not automatically bring visibility or a network of referral partners there.
She partnered with her longtime friend Linda to build Therapy Expanded around those needs. Together, they bring clinical experience and expertise in marketing, communication, and design to a shared goal: helping people find care and helping providers find one another.
Meghan Gilliland, LCSW, LICSW
Meghan brings mental health experience since 2005, trauma expertise, and firsthand knowledge of online and multi-state private practice. She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant.
Linda Bain
Linda brings 15+ years in communications and marketing, with experience in design, copywriting, and website strategy. Her focus is on clear information, meaningful connection, and small-business visibility.
