Meghan brings clinical experience and the day-to-day realities of online private practice to Therapy Expanded.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE & ONLINE PRACTICE
Clinical experience grounded in real practice
Meghan began working in the mental health field in 2005 as a case manager supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. That experience set her on the path to becoming a licensed clinical social worker.
Her work has included in-home therapy with children in foster care and court-involved families, as well as residential treatment for eating disorders. Across those settings, she saw how often trauma shaped the difficulties people faced. That understanding led her to specialize in trauma therapy.
In 2019, Meghan launched her private practice and began offering online therapy. She moved to fully online practice in 2020, working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, and related concerns.

Why Therapy Expanded matters to her
As Meghan expanded her online practice, she found that being licensed in a state did not mean people there could easily find her. It also did not create the professional relationships that make referrals and collaboration easier.
She co-founded Therapy Expanded with her longtime friend Linda Bain to address those gaps: helping clients find online providers by licensed state and helping providers build connections beyond their local communities.
What she brings to Therapy Expanded
Meghan brings a practicing clinician’s perspective to Therapy Expanded. Her experience helps shape the directory, provider community, and practical resources around the needs of people seeking care and professionals working online.
