Clients I Work With

I specialize in therapy for adults who have family of origin issues focusing on how it is impacting their relationships with themselves, their children, and others. I work with clients to help them to identify which patterns are no longer serving them, where they come from, understand their impact, and begin making meaningful change. Healing family of origin wounds takes courage and time but allows you to treat yourself with the compassion you may never have been shown.

Approach

I approach therapy with warmth, compassion, and humor. I am not afraid to hold people accountable while also helping you find a way to hold yourself in higher regard. I draw from a number of techniques including CBT and DBT, both of those help us to look at your thoughts and question the feelings they cause to see what is no longer serving you. I am also EMDR trained and can use that to help process any traumas that are stuck. I enjoy helping people find the tools that help them now while exploring the root of what is going on.
