I work with adults, teens, couples, and families. I provide a safe space for business partners to work out conflicts and find paths forward in their partnerships.
Approach
I like for people to feel a real connection with me in this work. I believe developing this level of trust requires for me to be myself and show up both as a skilled clinician and a real human being. My skills are based on bringing more attention to what is in the room during a session and using somatic techniques to help people develop a deeper and richer relationship to their innate sense of self and presence. I have mostly been trained as a Gestalt therapist with more focused trainings in somatic and trauma integration.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I believe it best to understand another person's values and lived experiences in the ongoing process of getting to know a person. I like to let people tell me about themselves as it comes up organically in therapy. Building trust doesn't happen all at once. I think of myself as a guide and I feel a great honor when someone takes their time to discover if I am the right therapist for them. The discovery process of this kind has no formula or necessary markers. The only requirement is the desire for curiosity and willingness to be challenged.
