Clients I Work With
I work with individuals who feel 'stuck,' whether that’s in a cycle of anxiety, a heavy past, or recurring patterns in their relationships that they can't seem to break. Many of my clients find that their history seeps into how they communicate with partners or friends today, leaving them feeling misunderstood or defensive.
My approach is deeply integrative. While I am trained in EMDR for those ready to process specific trauma, I also provide a compassionate, eclectic space rooted in CBT and mindfulness. Whether you want to dive deep into the nervous system or simply need a non-judgmental environment to navigate life's daily stresses and communication hurdles, we will move at a pace that feels safe for you.
Approach
It's my hope that sitting with me feels like grounded, comforting conversation. Some days, we might roll up our sleeves and use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to take the sting out of painful memories so they no longer flood your present.
Other days, you might just need a compassionate space to vent, process a difficult week, or practice challenging the "inner critic" that keeps you stuck. I use a "safe pace" philosophy, meaning that I do not want to go deeper or faster than your system is ready for. You can expect active listening, practical coping tools, and a steady presence.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My approach is deeply shaped by the belief that healing isn't about becoming a "perfect" version of yourself, but about leaning into curiosity and discovering what you truly want in your life. I value authenticity, exploration, and emotional safety. In our sessions, I show up as a real person, not a blank wall. I recognize that power dynamics and social identities impact our mental health, and I am committed to providing a space that honors your unique lived experience. I believe that therapy should be a place where you can finally stop 'performing' and start being heard.
More About My Practice
Beyond individual weekly sessions, I also offer a two-hour, self-paced self-compassion course via Udemy.
For mental health professionals, I offer supervision for clinicians in New York, and I offer a Substack newsletter for any mental health professionals in the US.
