Clients I Work With

Folks I work with: individuals, couples, groups & families who are located in WA state (more locations soon!), all genders, ages 12+ (Note: I'll happily consider younger clients, too, just send me an email.) Communities I enjoy working with: LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC, neurodivergent folks, veterans, first responders, & healthcare workers, artists, musicians, & creatives, survivors of trauma & high-control systems (religious or otherwise), kink, polyamorous, and non-traditional relationships, caregivers and helping professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners. Issues I enjoy working with: anxiety & depression, trauma & (C)PTSD, grief & loss, burnout, business & entrepreneurship, neurodivergence, identity shifts & life transitions, relationship stress, conflict, change, or growth.

Approach

My lived experiences, education, and training inform my approach. I am neuroaffirming & body-liberating to honor the wisdom of your mind and body as they are I'm anti-perfectionist & person-centered so that your values, goals, and lived experiences are prioritized. Sessions with me are creative & compassionate with lots humor, metaphor, and sometimes music, art, or writing (these can help explore and express what spoken words can't capture). Our work is evidence-based: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative and Polyvagal Theories, attachment-based healing, and ecofeminist and intersectional perspectives. My education & training: Master's in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, (Spring '26), Master's in Business Administration, Certified Trauma Support Specialist, Certified Trauma & Resilience Life Coach, Psychological First Aid.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

The way I join my clients through their change, loss, and re-invention is reflected by my own story and lived experiences. Before entering the mental health field, I spent two decades as a professional musician, teacher, songwriter, and author... I’m transparent about my experiences with chronic illness, career-halting diagnoses, religious trauma, sexual violence, and disordered eating. There are also particular joys, tragedies, and absurdities that came with growing up undiagnosed neurodivergent, coming of age in a racist South, living overseas with culture shock, and navigating the music industry as a woman. I’m also deeply shaped by the queer, anti-racist, body-liberationist, and neurodivergent communities I’ve been part of. All of this explains why I welcome heretics, whistle-blowers, late bloomers, those who speak truth to power, or who’ve “never quite fit the mold.”
