Clients I Work With

I work with teens, individuals, and couples who are longing for a safe, understanding space to navigate what feels heavy or uncertain. Many of my clients are moving through major life transitions, healing from sexual shame, rebuilding connection in their relationships, or preparing for marriage with intention and clarity. I also support immigrants who want a therapist who truly understands their culture, their story, and their faith—someone who “gets” the layers they’re carrying. For clients who desire it, I integrate Christian counseling in a way that honors both their emotional and spiritual journey. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for growth, this is a place where you can feel seen, supported, and understood.

Approach

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. Sessions with me feel grounded, collaborative, and centered on your story. We move at a pace that feels safe, using gentle curiosity and practical tools to help you understand what you’re carrying and how to move forward with more clarity and confidence. My therapeutic lens is trauma‑informed and client‑centered, and for those who desire it, I integrate a Christ‑centered perspective that honors your faith as part of your healing. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, and experiences in a way that feels compassionate and empowering—not clinical or overwhelming. I draw from approaches that support insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful change, always tailoring the work to what you need in the moment. Whether you’re navigating stress, shame, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to

Beliefs & Lived Experience

As an immigrant of African descent, I know what it feels like to start over in a new environment, rebuilding identity, finding community, and learning to navigate life between cultures. I understand the quiet strength it takes to raise children who are growing up in a world different from the one that shaped you, and the tension of holding onto your roots while adapting to a new place. Before becoming a therapist, I practiced law, and that journey taught me resilience, advocacy, and the importance of truly listening to people’s stories. Transitioning into mental health was part of my own calling to walk alongside others with compassion and humility. My lived experience shapes the way I show up in the therapy room: grounded, culturally aware, faith‑honoring, and deeply respectful of the complexities people carry. I value authenticity, dignity, and the belief that healing is possible

More About My Practice

In addition to individual and couples counseling, I offer several supportive spaces designed to meet clients where they are. During the summer, I run a Teen Self‑Esteem and Career Exploration Group, giving teens a place to build confidence, discover their strengths, and explore future possibilities in a supportive, guided environment. I also provide premarital group counseling for couples who want to build a strong foundation alongside others, creating space for honest conversations, shared learning, and meaningful preparation for marriage. My work is grounded in a strength‑based approach, helping clients recognize their resilience, gifts, and capacity for growth. For those who desire it, I offer Christian counseling, integrating faith and emotional wellness in a way that feels authentic, respectful, and aligned with your values.
