Clients I Work With

You are in the right place if, you are overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, thought life would be better than this by now, often think it’s not supposed to be this way, are experiencing the weight of loss, or feel as if anxiety is in the driver’s seat. I am here to help you feel more connected to self and others, be in the present instead of the past or future, feel less overwhelmed, improve work/life balance, and experience hope along the way. My special interests include anxiety/panic, singleness, healthy boundaries, relationship challenges, building trust, betrayal trauma, emotional regulation, grief&loss, stress management, attachment concerns, depression, dating, life transitions, and divorce recovery.

Approach

I’m a former teacher and basketball coach turned therapist. I’ve learned a lot about meeting people where they are and enjoy working together to come up with a “game plan”. Some things in life are unavoidable, but effective strategies can make all the difference in how we experience hardship. I enjoy integrating evidence-based tools that help create a mind-body-spirit connection. My goal is to compassionately care for you on the journey toward hope.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness, which helps clients identify and commit to living life according to their values while staying in the present moment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients identify and correct unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs to improve overall wellbeing. Somatic Experiencing helps the body work through trauma, calming the nervous system, and letting the body know what it feels like to be safe. I also use faith-based approaches when desired.

More About My Practice

Some seasons are light and full of joy, while others are heavy and filled with grief; many fall somewhere in between. I’m honored to walk with you toward hope and healing, because healing happens through connection.
