Clients I Work With
I specialize in helping people disentangle from religious beliefs that no longer serve them, find ways to navigate climate distress, and overcome the paralysis of anxiety. Many of my clients are deeply feeling people who care a lot about the world and the people around them, but struggle to find inner calm and to know their inner values and goals. We'll work together to peel off the layers of the expectations of others, and allow your own inner voice to shine through. Often the people I work with experience a harsh inner voice that judges them for many of their choices, so our work is also about rebuilding your relationship with yourself into one based on kindness and care.
Approach
My approach is centered around ensuring that you release self-judgment and build more inner kindness and self-acceptance. I also focus on helping you identify your own internal values, so that you have a stronger sense of being guided by an inner compass, rather than the expectations of others. We'll work to unlearn excessive guilt and shame to give you more freedom to be present in your life. I want therapy to be a space where we can examine the past to help you heal from the experiences that have hurt you, but also where you can envision the future that you want and start to take steps towards that future.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My approach is feminist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and climate change aware. I practice from a health at every size and anti-diet framework, meaning I reject fatphobia and help you work towards body kindness and acceptance, regardless of your size. I also understand that political stress is the top of many people's minds these days, and I welcome you to bring your political concerns into our work together.

I offer both virtual and in-person sessions. My in-person sessions are in the Heights neighborhood of Houston, Texas, and I'm able to see any resident of Texas virtually over video sessions.
