Centered Perspectives Therapy

LICSW

Clients I Work With

My specialties include: Grief, LGBTQ+ Clients, Domestic Violence Survivors, Musicians, and Substance Use. Additionally, I often work with clients seeking support around Depression, Anxiety, Isolation, and a variety of Life Stressors and Transitions (relating to work, family, relationships, and more). If you are navigating multiple stressors or a challenging life event, feeling stuck or burned out, or struggling with negative judgments about yourself, I hope you’ll reach out. I'd love to help you reconnect with joy, meaning, self-esteem, or balance in your life!

Approach

I deeply believe that your perspectives and experiences matter, and I see you as the expert on your own life. Therapy is an opportunity for us to collaboratively explore what is important to you. My warmth, respect, curiosity, and patience help create a supportive environment for these conversations. While I likely have experience working with clients around similar challenges to what led you to seek therapy, I also don’t think that there is a one-size-fits-all “recipe” that works the same for every client in a given situation. I see therapy as an individualized and interactive experience. Working together, we can draw on your values, preferences, knowledge, skills, and hopes in discussing how to navigate challenges in your life. I meet with all potential clients for a free initial 15-minute video consult. I'd love to hear from you to set up the consult or if you have any questions.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I have a strong belief in the importance of social justice and equality, and strive to make therapy a comfortable and inclusive place for all clients. While not assuming what might feel significant or relevant to you, I actively create space in conversations with clients to discuss how your identities (including cultural, racial, religious, gender, and sexual orientation) may connect with your experiences, worldview, strengths, or challenges.

More About My Practice

My approach is grounded in narrative therapy. Depending on client needs, I also integrate motivational interviewing, mindfulness, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. I have participated in advanced narrative therapy training in the U.S. and Canada for over 10 years. I graduated from the Boston College School of Social work in 2015. Since then, I have worked as a therapist in a community outpatient mental health clinic, a public high school, and in private practice.
