Clients I Work With
I work with emerging adults, those with fertility struggles, perinatal and postpartum individuals and couples and provides care for patients who struggle with generalized anxiety, depression, and postpartum disorders. Treatment approach is rooted in perinatal care, humanistic and person-centered therapy modalities. I also offer virtual EMDR. I accept UHC, Oxford, Oscar, Aetna, Cigna, and soon will accept BCBS insurance. If you are experiencing any struggles or simply want someone to chat with, please reach out via text or email.
Approach
My main goals for my clients include strengthening problem-solving abilities, improving communication skills, and fostering healthier relationships. For children and adolescents, goals often include increasing emotional vocabulary, reducing maladaptive behaviors, improving frustration tolerance, and enhancing self-esteem.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I struggled first hand with fertility and subsequent Post-partum depression and feelings of isolation. The perinatal period is typically glamorized whereas most women I know found it to be a difficult period and were navigating it alone. I want to help support my clients in creating a village and finding joy in their perinatal period and in parenting.
More About My Practice
The first session will be to gather a more detailed history of symptoms/concerns/struggles you wish to address and determine a treatment plan-this is the outline of goals and things to accomplish in our work together. My greatest strength as a provider is the ability to be vulnerable. I have excelled in my private practice because I am passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and provides a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. If you think I would be able to help you, reach out via email or text message.
