Clients I Work With

You primarily work with LGBTQIA+ teens, young adults, and adults, including transgender and gender diverse clients, as well as individuals with Autism and ADHD, supporting identity development, mental health concerns, and the impact of systemic and interpersonal stressors using evidence-based, person-centered approaches.

Approach

Your approach is person-centered and strengths-based, grounded in affirming, culturally responsive care. You integrate evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, and DBT to support emotional regulation, identity development, and adaptive coping, while maintaining a collaborative and trauma-informed stance that prioritizes client autonomy and lived experience.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

Sessions with me are collaborative, grounded, and nonjudgmental. I create a space where you can show up as you are and explore your experiences, identity, and relationships at your own pace. My approach is rooted in equity, cultural humility, and affirming care, with attention to how systems and lived experiences shape well-being. I balance warmth with honesty, offering validation alongside gentle challenge. We may build insight into patterns, develop tools to manage emotions, and explore your values and goals. I draw from CBT, ACT, and DBT, focusing on what fits best for you. Sessions are supportive, reflective, and focused on helping you build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

More About My Practice

II approach this work with a strong commitment to equity, cultural humility, and affirming care. As someone raised in a Christian context who has navigated complex family dynamics and witnessed systemic injustice, I understand the impact of identity, belief systems, and marginalization. These experiences shape how I show up, with openness, respect, and a focus on creating a space where you feel seen and understood. My perspective is also influenced by a Buddhist philosophical lens, which supports a grounded, mindful, and compassionate approach. I value authenticity, accountability, and honoring each person’s lived experience, and I bring that into my work to build trust and support meaningful, client-centered growth.
