Clients I Work With

Hello! Finding the right fit with a therapist is essential for true healing. I've provided professional support for other therapists, teachers, creatives, artists, and musicians, HSP (Highly Sensitive Persons), as well as those who are searching for and discovering their true selves. Please reach out if you are wanting to heal your heart after the loss of a beloved animal or human, or are an author, musician, dancer or any other Creative wanting to deepen or reconnect to your creative part. Please also reach out if you are needing guidance about your career/current profession or are ready to make healthy changes in your life and aren't sure where to start.

Approach

My intention is to provide an understanding and compassionate space to support and empower you to give your feelings a voice, create a space for your grief, help you become "unstuck," help quiet the relentless Inner Critic/Inner Bully voice, leave perfection behind, and create the space and time you need to become the best and most authentic version of you. I see my role as creating space for you to grow, heal, feel some relief, and achieve your goals. My style is curious, compassionate, wholistic, using a dash of humor and “nudging” to help facilitate growth. I also will "nudge" when needed and use gentle humor at times.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

Change isn’t easy—or, often isn’t. It’s hard. It’s bumpy. It’s uncomfortable. Yet, it’s important and can help us become who we really are, by releasing the cloak of pain we have been wearing. That which keeps us safe sometimes is what keeps us stuck. The “growing pains” are worth it, especially since our time on this Big Blue Marble is (too) short. With a specialty in pet loss, I’ve developed and facilitated pet loss support groups, and presented and written extensively on the subject, including a novel as well as a self-help book on the topic. As a former psychology and sociology instructor, I loved teaching my students about how the human brain, body, and behavior all work together to make us who we are. It is always an honor to be a part of a client's Life journey as they courageously move foward with making healthy changes in their lives.
