Clients I Work With
I work with individual adults and teens (ages 15+) who are looking for a soft, welcoming place to process and heal. Folx who choose me as a therapist are tired of feeling simultaneously “not enough” and “too much,” and want to start living a life that aligns with their values-- starting with a therapy space that honors them as they are. My therapy space is open to people of all marginalized identities, and is home especially for LGBTQIA2S+, neurodivergent, Disabled, and racialized BBIA folx whose identities are most linked to systemic violence and neglect.
Clients I work with typically experience complex and single-incident trauma, self-esteem, and big existential questions around identity and purpose. I largely serve folx whose trauma manifests other challenges, like depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, sexual dysfunction, or substance use.
Approach
As a multiply-neurodivergent therapist, I believe therapy should be a safe place to unmask and I practice this in sessions by using fidgets, not forcing eye contact for myself and others, and showing up comfortably dressed (because I focus best when I'm physically comfy, and I bet you do too). I'm down-to-earth and usually pop into sessions sipping an iced coffee from my fave local place or a Monster energy drink and wearing jeans and a t-shirt or hoodie. My therapy style is warm, validating, collaborative, and relational, and I pull from an eclectic blend of therapy modalities and time-honored, culturally-rooted practices including but not limited to existential, somatic, mindfulness, parts work, and EMDR therapies to process difficult feelings and honor your inherent resilience.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I am a queer, transgender, nonbinary, white person with numerous lived, personal experience as being disabled, AuDHD, cPTSD, OCD, BED, and chronic suicidality. My lived experiences mean that while our stories are different, I empathize and have been in challenging mental health spaces myself; this affords me the solidarity and empathy to connect on a level with clients that other providers may not be able.
Therapy is political, and my beliefs impact the work I do with clients. The following beliefs guide my practice:
- Racialized, Indigenous, Black, and Brown lives matter.
- Gender-affirming care for all ages is a human right.
- Sex work is work.
- Nobody is illegal on stolen land.
- ACAB also applies to carceral mental health providers.
- Free Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and Ukraine.
- Autism registries are a human rights violation.
- Disability is not a dirty word.
More About My Practice
I offer 8-week EMDR intensives encompassing 4 hours of 1:1 EMDR therapy weekly for folx 15+ who are looking for relief from historic and single-incident trauma and/or PTSD.
I offer virtual 1:1 and monthly drop-in peer-consultation virtual groups to provisionally-licensed therapists, seasoned therapists, and graduate students looking for support or case consultation. I also offer consultation to small businesses looking to integrate or improve DEI initiatives in their practice and/or policy. For provisionally-licensed therapists in CT or MA, I offer virtual clinical supervision to fulfill licensure requirements.
I am currently gauging interest for a virtual peer-support group for LGBTQIA2S+ mental health providers and support professionals! This will likely start towards the end of June 2026 and will be held on a bi-weekly basis.
