Clients I Work With
I work with adults 18 and older who are managing conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, chronic insomnia, and chronic pain. I have particular experience supporting military veterans, active-duty service members, and individuals who have experienced combat-related or sexual trauma. I welcome clients across all backgrounds seeking medication management in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Approach
I use a conservative but thorough approach to psychiatric medication management, paired with brief, evidence-based therapy techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Behavioral Activation. I work with you at your own pace to set clear goals, build coping skills, and align your treatment with your personal values.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I am a retired U.S. Navy Commander with over 12 years of service, including two overseas deployments caring for wounded service members. I later served at the San Diego VA Health Care System. My military background deeply shapes how I approach care; I lead with listening, prioritize safety, and believe every person deserves access to quality mental health support regardless of where they live.
More About My Practice
All services are provided via secure telehealth. I do not prescribe controlled substances outside the state of CA. I also write Nexus Letters for veterans pursuing VA disability claims, helping document the clinical connection between a condition and military service. Couples therapy is available for partners navigating stress, communication challenges, or shared mental health concerns.
