About this provider
Clients I Work With
I provide online therapy for teens and adults in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, and Massachusetts who are dealing with anxiety, trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergence.
If you are experiencing anxiety or have experienced trauma, I may be your therapist. I work with clients whose trauma ranges from a car accident or a single painful event to complex trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, and dissociation. I also work with people whose anxiety shows up in different ways, from feeling overwhelmed by a new stage of life to struggling to leave the house because anxiety feels too loud and too heavy.
I meet clients where they are, but I also help them move forward. Therapy with me is not stiff, robotic, or one-size-fits-all. My clients often appreciate that they can jump topics, use sarcasm, laugh, cry, or say the messy thing out loud, and I can still help bring us back to what matters. Whether you are neurodivergent or not, if you want a therapist who is warm, direct, and able to hold both humor and hard things, we may be a good fit.
Approach
Therapy with me is not stiff, robotic, or one-size-fits-all. I individualize therapy to each client because people are complicated, trauma is complicated, and coping skills that work beautifully for one person may make another person want to throw the worksheet across the room.
I use evidence-based therapy approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and other modalities to support teens and adults dealing with anxiety, trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, ADHD, Autism, and neurodivergence. I am certified in EMDR and often use it as a primary therapy model, but make sure to take time to help you prepare to get there (if that's you're goal).
I've been told that my approach is warm, direct, flexible, practical, irreverent, and fun by clients. We will work on helping you stabilize, understand what is happening in your brain and body, build tools that actually fit your life, and eventually process the deeper stuff when you are ready.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My goal is to work myself out of a job. I do not want to keep you in therapy forever. I want to do therapy well enough that when you leave, you can see the difference in yourself, trust yourself more, and feel like life is not quite so heavy.
I have had bad therapists and good therapists, so I know how much the right fit matters. My goal is not to be the best therapist in the world. My goal is to be the right therapist for the clients I work with. That's why I do a free consultation so that we can make sure I'm going to best meet your needs and if I'm not I'll try to help you find someone who may be a better fit.
