Clients I Work With

I help founders, executives, and high-impact professionals optimize their mental health. Leadership is lonely. You carry burdens you cannot share. Your team might get a mental health day, but your role doesn't afford you that luxury. Authenticity may sound good on paper, but it isn't always the best thing for you or your career. Whether you’ve worked extensively with mental health professionals or never imagined a day when you’d be asking for help: I’m here for you. My practice isn't built for scale. It's designed to provide unparalleled focus and discretion. I will earn your trust and maintain it at all costs. I’m Jeff Clark, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist with additional expertise in addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine. I’ve worked with technologists, attorneys, doctors, engineers, and C-level executives at private and public companies. Their names and company logos won’t ever appear on my website. Yours won’t either.

Approach

I favor a comprehensive approach where therapy and practical changes are tried before medication is prescribed. When medication is the wisest course of action, I’m happy to provide appropriate low-risk prescriptions. If you’re on a complex medication regimen, we can work together to simplify your prescriptions. If a medication is no longer serving you, I can help you safely discontinue it. You’ll be able to lead the discussion in any direction, and I will help you find understanding, acceptance, and opportunities to grow. We will discuss the past, present, and future. We will set collaborative goals during each session, and we will frequently review your progress. I will (with respect and compassion) ask you to be accountable for your efforts. You, in turn, are free to call me out on my bullshit. I value an existential approach to care. This means that meaning, mortality, spirituality, religion, uncertainty, and nonbelief exist as full citizens in our relationship.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I received my medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and then completed a residency and chief residency at the University of Washington. During residency, I was awarded the Grand Prize in the American Psychiatric Association’s Psychiatry Innovation Lab. After practicing in the community, I accepted a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the University of Utah. I was full-time faculty at the University of Utah’s for several years. I was given the Department of Psychiatry’s Excellence in Education award every year I served on the faculty, and I wrote a $3M federal grant to improve training for addiction physicians. I transitioned to adjunct status at the beginning of 2026 to build this practice and a mental health software company. Outside of medicine, I’ve made multiple angel investments and have advised several startups. I’m an avid cook, a dog enthusiast, a progressive rock fan, and a serviceable pickleball player. I’m married to an extraordinary artist and we have three wonderful kids.

More About My Practice

My commitment to discretion goes far beyond federal and state law. Initial consultations are booked through HIPAA-compliant services and completed over the phone. I destroy all records immediately after the meeting should either party decide not to proceed further. I do not allow medical students or junior clinicians to participate in your care. My practice is built for high-value service and not scale. Although I readily embrace modern AI tools, I am extremely cautious about their use in my clinical practice. I will never brainstorm your case with AI, and I do not use a human or AI scribe. Our sessions will never be recorded, and I document only what is necessary to provide exceptional care. You will receive a bespoke, highly specialized service. My pricing reflects this and may be several times higher than quotes from other clinicians. I'll provide an exact quote during our initial consultation call, and I'm happy to file out-of-network courtesy bills upon request. I am out-of-network with all insurance plans.
