Clients I Work With

I work with adults in Oregon and New Mexico, with a special focus on women navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic stress, chronic pain (including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome), relationship concerns, the emotional impact of chronic illness and feeling dismissed or unheard within the healthcare system, and major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or struggling to move beyond painful experiences. I also have extensive experience supporting refugees and immigrants who are navigating the emotional impact of displacement, loss, trauma, and cultural transition. Whether adjusting to life in a new environment, coping with grief, or struggling with questions of identity, belonging, and safety, I strive to provide a compassionate, culturally responsive space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported.

Approach

I offer a trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approach that integrates mind-body awareness and an understanding of how the nervous system responds to stress and trauma. I believe healing begins in a therapeutic relationship where clients feel emotionally safe, genuinely heard, respected, and accepted. Sessions with me are collaborative, compassionate, and paced according to each person's individual needs. Together, we explore the experiences, relationships, and life events that have shaped you while developing practical tools to reduce distress, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change. My work draws from attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and DBT-informed approaches, integrating these perspectives based on each person's unique needs and goals. I also incorporate culturally responsive practices, honoring the importance of identity, culture, values, and lived experience in the healing process.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I bring professional experience and personal understanding of life’s challenges, which has deepened my empathy for the complexity of healing, resilience, and growth. My own lived experiences navigating adversity have strengthened my belief in compassionate, collaborative support and creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, heard, and respected. Having worked in healthcare settings for many years, I have witnessed the emotional impact of feeling unheard or misunderstood, particularly for individuals navigating chronic illness, chronic pain, and medical experiences. I have supported clients living with conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and Long COVID, and understand the importance of validating both the physical and emotional aspects of these experiences. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that helps clients deepen self-understanding, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward healing while honoring their individual experiences and values.
