Clients I Work With

I work with adults who have done trauma therapy before but are stuck. They are always the helpers, and now they need something more than talk therapy. I work with adult faith leaders running on empty and need a pit stop to recharge. They are always expected to have all the answers, and now they need a safe place to grow and rest. I work with neurodivergent teens and adults who struggle with executive functioning skills, structure, and autonomy.

Approach

I bring the top-down and the bottom-up therapy approaches together in the same room. I am a lifelong learner and put what I learn into practice for my clients. While I have access to a list of modalities, it's the combination and the pacing that make me different. I don't lock someone into one track. I shift when something isn't moving. I bring in a new angle when the current one has gone as far as it can. I am not just cycling through the same approach on repeat.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

My work is shaped by my desire to help people. I had considered being a pastor or a chaplain. Although God has brought me to the counseling and counseling education field in my journey. I have been able to help a wide scope of people through community mental health in this journey. As I continue to help clients, I also enjoy helping the next generation of counselors through education and supervision. This is true for my time at church as well. I enjoy teaching and serving the next generation of teenagers to learn and grow in their faith.
