Clients I Work With
You may look like you’re doing fine on the outside while quietly feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. Perhaps you’re successful but exhausted from constantly pushing yourself, caught in patterns you can’t seem to break, or struggling with anxiety, shame, self-doubt, perfectionism, or relationship challenges. I specialize in helping adults who are experiencing the lasting effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences. I also work with couples who want to rebuild trust, improve communication, deepen their connection, or break free from patterns that keep them stuck.
Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in both neuroscience and psychology. I draw mainly from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT/CBT/DBT, psychodynamic theory, somatic approaches, and attachment theory with individuals, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and attachment theory with couples. Rather than simply managing symptoms, I want to help you understand what’s driving them. Together, we’ll explore the connections between your experiences, emotions, nervous system, and patterns so you can develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the ability to respond differently. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and tailored to who you are and what you need.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I believe that our struggles often make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped us. I also believe that healing is possible, even when patterns have been with us for a long time. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in executive leadership roles as an occupational therapist across a variety of medical settings. That experience gives me a unique perspective on burnout, work stress, and the pressures of professional and leadership roles. Over more than 20 years as a therapist in Canada and the U.S., I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. I bring curiosity, compassion, honesty, and a down-to-earth approach to our work together. I’m bilingual in English and French and LGBTQ+ affirming.
More About My Practice
I offer in-person therapy from my office in Hillsboro, Oregon, as well as telehealth to clients throughout Oregon and Washington. I work with adults and couples navigating trauma, relationship challenges, emotional struggles, and the pressures of trying to “do it all.” My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. You won’t be met with clichés or judgment. Instead, I offer a focused space where you can slow down, look beneath the surface, and begin making sense of what’s happening. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy—you just need to be willing to take the first step. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, emotional strength, healthier relationships, and meaningful change.
