All sessions are held by secure video, anywhere in New York State. I typically see clients Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and I hold early morning slots for working professionals who can't step away midday. If nothing on my calendar lines up with your schedule, say so on our intro call and we'll see what we can work out.
About this provider
Clients I Work With
You're the person others count on. You hit the deadlines, take the meetings, and hold things together at work and at home, and from the outside it looks like you have it handled. Inside it feels different: a running commentary of self-criticism, second-guessing decisions you're more than qualified to make, needing reassurance before you can trust your own judgment. Maybe you over-prepare for everything, say yes when you mean no, or live with a low hum of anxiety that never fully switches off. Maybe you're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix. I work with adults across New York State, most of them high-achieving professionals in demanding careers, on anxiety, burnout, self-esteem, and men's mental health. If you look successful on paper and feel like you're running on empty, you're in the right place.
Approach
Sessions with me are direct, warm, and practical. We'll spend some time understanding where your patterns came from, since self-doubt is always learned somewhere, and plenty of time on what to do differently this week. Expect real conversation rather than silence: I'll ask questions, offer honest reflections, and push a little when it helps.
My approach is integrative. From ACT, we'll get clear on what actually matters to you and build the ability to act on it even when doubt shows up. From CBT and DBT, you'll get concrete skills for anxiety, self-criticism, and intense emotion. Psychodynamic work helps us trace where patterns started, and Stoic ideas offer a steady lens on what's within your control. Throughout, you set the direction. You'll leave sessions with something to try, not just something to think about.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I believe people are more capable than their worst thoughts about themselves suggest, and that self-respect gets built through action rather than by waiting to feel worthy of it.
Before private practice, I spent years in foster care and homeless services, alongside people navigating real instability with far fewer resources than most. That work shaped how I show up: little patience for credentials as posturing, a lot of respect for what it takes to keep going, and no belief that shame makes anyone better.
I'm drawn to Stoic philosophy for the same reason I'm drawn to ACT. Both say something similar: you don't get to choose what happens or how you feel about it, but you always have a say in what you do next.
You can swear, disagree with me, and tell me when something isn't landing. That's part of the work, not a detour from it.
More About My Practice
Rhythm Wellness Mental Health Counseling is a fully virtual practice serving adults throughout New York State, so we can work together whether you're in Manhattan, Buffalo, or anywhere in between.
I'm in-network with insurance, and self-pay is available with a good faith estimate provided upfront so there are no surprises.
Getting started begins with a free 15-minute call. It's a low-pressure conversation about what's going on and whether we're the right fit, and I'll point you toward someone else if I'm not.

Insurance Notes
I'm in-network with select insurance plans for New York State residents, so many clients pay only a copay. Bring your plan details to our intro call and I'll confirm your coverage before we begin. Private pay is also available, with a good faith estimate of costs provided upfront and a superbill on request if you want to use out-of-network benefits. Payment is due at the time of session, and you'll always know what something costs before you commit to it.
