About this provider

Clients I Work With

I work with adults who want to build more reflectiveness as the move throughout the world, so that they can engage with relationships and what they love more confidently and securely. Oftentimes the barriers that end up holding us back the most in life are the ones that are the hardest for us to see ourselves, and my role is to help provide a therapeutic relationship where we can explore what some of these patterns might be.

Approach

We'll explore some of the areas that keep having you feel stuck with how they might relate to your upbringing, ways you learned to navigate stress and emotions, and meaningful experiences that have impacted how you see the world. At times we'll learn about the role of emotions for you in your day-to-day, attachment styles and how they relate to your family of origin, and patterns you've seen that keep showing up in your relationships. Other times it means learning about the impacts of holding stress in the body, effective ways of communicating emotions, and behaviors that help root us in the "here and now" to become more present and engaged.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

My work is shaped by my own healing journey in therapy, understanding the impacts that trauma has had on my relationships/identity/career path, and the feeling on the other side when it all began to make sense to me. My graduate program was also highly reflective and psychodynamic-based, and continued to instill in me the importance of being a reflective practitioner, continuing to do the work for myself, and how I show up in the therapy room.
