We provide children, adolescents, and adults with a telehealth mental health clinic that provides comprehensive psychiatric services to individuals in need. Approach

Mission Psychiatry is a family owned practice led by Dr. Derin Colvin, a distinguished psychiatric nurse practitioner with over a decade of expertise in mental health care. He completed his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Johns Hopkins University, where he honed his foundational skills in patient care. His advanced education continued at George Washington University where he earned another Master's degree with a specialty in psychiatry, culminating in a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Touro University in New York. Dr. Colvin's extensive training includes rotations at renowned institutions such as Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as at established clinics like Redemption Psychiatry and Serenity Mental Health. His diverse clinical experience encompasses a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, from ADHD and anxiety to complex mood disorders, PTSD, and insomnia.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

Before transitioning to psychiatry, Dr. Colvin earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. His background in business, with ownership of multiple enterprises across various industries, brings a unique perspective to his psychiatric practice. Dr. Colvin is dedicated to innovative, patient-centered care and is committed to employing novel approaches to address mental health challenges and facilitate rapid recovery. He maintains a dynamic practice, frequently traveling between Oregon and Arizona to serve a diverse patient base. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Colvin enjoys exploring new cultures, sampling diverse cuisines, and spending quality time with his supportive wife and two teenage sons.
