Clients I Work With
My clients are often thoughtful, self-aware adults who have been holding things down for a long time. Many are exhausted before they ever reach out. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief, identity-related stress, and the lingering weight of difficult family dynamics. I have a particular passion for working with queer and LGBTQIA+ clients, including trans and non-binary adults, and I am proudly kink- and poly-affirming. I also work with veterans, older adults, and anyone who has spent a long time feeling like they had to hide part of themselves to survive.
Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and collaborative. My primary specialty is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based method developed by an EMDR-trained therapist that processes trauma without requiring you to relive every painful detail. I also draw from ACT, CBT, DBT, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, always tailored to where you are. I think of therapy as a real conversation, not a performance. Honesty, consent, and pacing matter, especially in trauma work.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I became a therapist because I needed one. I lost my mom when I was 18, and in the years that followed I struggled with anxiety and depression and reached for whatever would take the edge off. When I finally sat down with a therapist, it changed my life. Not because it fixed everything, but because for the first time I had a space to say the things I had never said out loud. As a gay man, I also know what it is like to carry parts of yourself quietly for longer than you should have had to. That lived experience shapes how I show up in the room.
More About My Practice
My practice is fully telehealth and serves adults in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. I offer both ongoing therapy and focused, time-limited work depending on client goals. Some clients come for traditional weekly therapy, while others seek targeted trauma processing through episodic ART rather than long-term treatment. I work collaboratively and adjust pacing based on readiness and consent, especially with trauma and dissociation. I do not believe therapy needs to be endless to be effective, and I prioritize clarity around goals, boundaries, and expectations from the start. I maintain a consistent schedule, value reliability, and aim to create a space that feels steady, respectful, and human. My practice is designed for people who want thoughtful, engaged care and who are ready to do meaningful work at a pace that feels both safe and effective.
