Clients I Work With
I work primarily with high-achieving Black and Brown professionals in NYC who are navigating anxiety, imposter syndrome, leadership pressure, and relationship strain. Many are executives, entrepreneurs, attorneys, healthcare professionals, creatives, or first-generation leaders carrying visible success and invisible stress. I also specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ professionals of color exploring identity, visibility, and belonging. My clients are ready to move beyond survival mode, release perfectionism, and build emotional clarity, stronger relationships, and sustainable ambition.
Approach
My work centers high-achieving Black and Brown professionals in NYC who are navigating anxiety, racial stress, burnout, and relationship strain. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with practical skill-building to address both root causes and present-day patterns. We examine how race, masculinity, leadership pressure, and systemic expectations shape emotional health. Therapy with me is direct, culturally responsive, and insight-driven. I challenge self-silencing, overfunctioning, and perfectionism while building emotional regulation, communication skills, and sustainable success that does not require self-erasure.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
As a Black male psychologist who has worked in NYC hospitals and college counseling centers, I understand how high achievement often masks exhaustion. Many Black and Brown professionals are praised for resilience while privately carrying anxiety, isolation, and pressure to perform strength. I believe therapy should validate lived experience without excusing patterns that keep you stuck. Growth requires both cultural awareness and personal accountability. My work honors identity while helping clients build emotional range, relational depth, and leadership that feels authentic rather than performative.

I am a New York State licensed psychologist and Black Male Therapist in NYC, providing telehealth therapy to professionals and couples throughout NYC. My practice specializes in anxiety, burnout, racial stress, leadership pressure, identity development, and relationship challenges among Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ adults. My practice prioritizes privacy, professionalism, and meaningful change over surface-level coping.
