Be Seen, Share Your Expertise, and Grow Your Connections

One of our goals at Therapy Expanded is to spotlight providers doing great work.

Therapy Expanded membership gives you opportunities to share your expertise, introduce your practice, and build professional relationships. Whether you enjoy writing, teaching, or simply getting to know colleagues, there are several ways to get involved.

Share your perspective on the blog

Have a topic you wish more people understood? A question you hear often? An area of practice you could help others get to know?

Contributing a blog post is one way to share your knowledge and help readers become familiar with your approach. You might introduce a specialty or reflect on something you’ve learned in practice.

A focused, helpful article gives readers a chance to learn from you and get a sense of the person behind your provider profile.

If you have an idea, we’d love to hear it. Visit Member Opportunities to get started. You’ll need to log in to access this page.

Let the community know what you offer

Your colleagues can make more informed connections when they understand who you serve and what you offer.

Inside the Therapy Expanded community, you can introduce your practice and share relevant offerings in the Marketplace. That might include current openings, a therapy group, a training, or a resource you’ve created.

Be specific enough to help someone recognize a fit. Who is the offering for? Where are you licensed? What should someone do if they’d like to learn more?

Participating in conversations also helps colleagues get to know you over time. Answer a question, share a useful resource, or respond when your experience could help someone.

Host a Lunch & Learn

If you enjoy teaching or talking about your work, consider leading a Lunch & Learn.

These member-led events give providers a chance to learn from one another while getting to know the expertise within our community. Your topic could introduce a clinical approach, explore a population you work with, or address a practical issue that comes up in professional life.

Think about what colleagues ask you about, or what you wish you’d understood earlier in your career. That can be a useful starting point for a presentation.

Meet colleagues at live online events

Sometimes the easiest way to build a connection is to show up and have a conversation.

Our live events and networking gatherings offer opportunities to meet providers, learn about their practices, and share a little about your own. State networking events can be especially helpful for meeting colleagues who serve clients in the same states you do.

Help people understand your practice

Your directory profile gives potential clients and referral partners a place to learn about your services. Take a fresh look at whether it clearly explains who you support, your approach, and the states where you’re licensed.

Then think about how your other contributions can add to that picture. An article can explain an interest in more depth. A presentation can introduce colleagues to your expertise. A conversation can help someone remember you when a relevant referral comes up.

Start with one opportunity

You don’t need to do everything. Choose something that fits your interests and the time you have available.

Write an article. Suggest a Lunch & Learn. Share an offering. Attend a networking event. Each is a chance to contribute something useful and help people get to know your work.
