Clients I Work With

Accepting new clients! This space is for the questioners, deep feelers, critical thinkers, artists, muses, queerfolk, neurodivergent minds, and the beautifully complex. In session, I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, as we gently explore the patterns shaping your life. If you know the ache of feeling disconnected from yourself, of looking in the mirror and not quite landing in who you are, you are not alone. Together, we will cultivate compassion so you can reconnect, soften, and begin to truly love the person looking back at you.

Approach

Hi, I'm Aimee, and I'd love to meet you! Clients come to me first and foremost because of the safety, compassion, and warmth they feel in our sessions-the necessary ingredients for trauma recovery. I offer a trauma-informed, affirming space for adults (18+) navigating LGBTQIA2S+ identity, family estrangement, intergenerational trauma, and substance abuse.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I personally believe in taking a systemic approach to therapy – meaning we’ll talk (when helpful!) about the systems that we operate within (family, political, capitalism, etc.) that impact who we are and how we engage with the world. I mainly apply humanistic, feminist and social justice frameworks in our work together. I use person-centered, self-compassion, and mindfulness-based modalities as well. I alI believe therapists should have their own therapist so they can continue to grow alongside their clients (I adore my therapist! – Your grand-therapist) My own experiences of navigating queerness, disability, and religious trauma often allow me to create a courageous and safe space for folks, and I believe the opportunity to be a therapist is a monumental privilege and honor. Ultimately, we work together to see what approach might be the best for you individually and work from there!

More About My Practice
