I understand that therapy can be daunting for a plethora of reasons. Some people find themselves saying, “I’d never go to therapy,” however, I truly enjoy working with people who have a hard time believing therapy would ever work for them. When meeting new clients, I like to understand at which part of the therapy process they are in, and start from there. We will have goals in mind, but building rapport is one of the most important steps to taking care of those goals. I tend to be more relatable (but still professional), as a means of establishing that I am here with you and for you, not as an authority or someone that knows better. We can collaborate on how to get you where you wish to be, even if you are not so sure where that is yet.
