Clients I Work With
You might be dealing with anxiety and constant racing thoughts, or feeling overwhelmed like you can’t quite get your head above water. Some days, even getting out of bed can feel like a challenge. Maybe you’re feeling stuck, navigating a difficult life transition, or struggling to communicate and connect with your partner or family members. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, depression, or major life changes.
I work with people of all ages, but I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, and families struggling with anxiety, family conflict, and self-esteem.
Approach
I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process; therefore, I adjust each session to fit your unique needs and goals. My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices. With younger clients, I incorporate Play and Expressive Arts to help explore and process big feelings in developmentally appropriate ways. I also work from a Family Systems perspective, helping families understand how mental health can impact the entire family dynamic.
I support clients in developing a deeper understanding of what's happening in their minds and bodies. Our sessions together will help you explore your emotions, challenge negative thinking and behavior patterns , learn coping skills, improve connection and communication, provide a space for self-reflection, and work towards achieving your goals.
This space is dedicated solely for you, so you can show up as your true authentic self without judgment. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start - just a willingness to show up is enough.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I have lived experience with anxiety, neurodivergence, and chronic illness. My experiences act as a guide in my therapy journey as it drives my passion for helping others with similar issues. Sometimes you may feel that others do not "get you" or what you are going through, so having similar lived experiences can help build connection and safety in the therapy room.
I value trust, authenticity, respect, connection, and personalized care. My belief is that creating a safe, non-judgmental space is the foundation for processing and healing. I am passionate about helping others learn to live happy and healthy lives. I know first-hand how much the hard work of therapy can result in amazing personal growth. Whether this is your first time experiencing therapy or not, I am excited to join you on your healing journey.
More About My Practice
I created Ambient Family Counseling after realizing the need for increased mental health support for children, adolescents, teens, and families in my local communities.
I began to see increased levels of anxiety, self-doubt, and depression in young minds as they struggled to navigate today's modern world. As their difficulties increased, many parents also struggled with how to help their children. Many families struggled with how to better understand each other, how to build and maintain connection, and how to support one another.
The vision of Ambient Family Counseling became clear. I wanted to give back to communities and families by offering mental health treatment that can support the entire family.
