Clients I Work With

I work with preteens, teens, adults, and seniors navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. My clients often seek support for anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions, as well as issues related to self-esteem, identity, grief, and adjustment. I also work with individuals managing more complex concerns such as trauma, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and chronic health or pain conditions. Many of my clients are looking to better understand themselves, improve coping skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space and tailor treatment to each individual, helping clients build on their strengths, improve decision-making, and develop practical strategies to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Approach

I deliver cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments to adult, seniors, and teens with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems. I try to build on an individual's strengths and individualize therapy to each person's need. I believe psychotherapy can help individuals most effectively use their resources to increase self-understanding, to improve decision-making, to solve problems, and to create paths to the lives they want. I use mindfulness training to help clients live in the moment, with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach.

More About My Practice

I completed my Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Fresno, CA. I graduated Cum Laude, In Honors from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA in 1993 with a B.S. in Psychology. I have been in private practice in the DFW area since 2014.. I have previously worked with geriatrics in long-term care facilities, as well as, taught workshops on eating disorders, body image, stress management, dementia, and depression.
