I work with teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, have traumatic experiences still impacting them today, are feeling held captive by an addictive behavior, or are struggling with a loved one who is fighting that battle! I'm also a paraplegic and woman of faith so I'm passionate about serving those in the disability community or those looking for faith integrated care. I do talk therapy and EMDR
Approach
I take a relatable, down to earth, trauma informed approach to therapy. I also believe that the client knows themself the best! We work together to figure out what works best for you, help you get out of your comfort zone and grow into all that you were created to be! I'm a paraplegic and a woman of faith, so I'm passionate about serving my fellow adaptive community, as well as helping process religious trauma or integrating faith into people's clinical care if they choose! I'm an adaptive athlete so much of my work is through a sports psychology lens and fighting the mental battle that keeps us trapped in cycles. I'm here to walk alongside you while you find the freedom you're looking for!
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My personal believe is that I'm just here to plant the seeds of hope when life feels like there aren't any, and watch what the client and God does with it. I'm honored to witness hope and healing in the therapy room every day and I'm humbled to be in this field! I've been in a wheelchair my whole life so I understand what it's like to want healing from something, when my reality was needing to accept it rather than numb it, and the healing came in learning to love my life despite circumstances. I don't know your story, but I do know that we all have something in our life that feels broken. We all interact with difficult people and have relationships or situations that we wish were different. We're all carrying more than we let on. It's time to set that down and allow ourself to heal. I'd be honored to sit with you in that process.
More About My Practice
I provide Telehealth in the state of WI, primarily private pay with sliding scale options. Finances shouldn't be a barrier to getting help! I currently do individual therapy but am interested in implementing group work in the future.
