Clients I Work With
I work with adults who are thoughtful, self-aware (or want to be), and often exhausted from holding things down for a long time. Many of my clients struggle with trauma, PTSD or complex trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck despite years of insight or prior therapy. I often work with people recovering from narcissistic or emotionally abusive relationships, difficult family dynamics, and identity-related stress. Many are high-functioning on the outside but feel disconnected, numb, or constantly “in their head.” I also work with LGBTQIA+ clients, including trans and nonbinary adults, and I am kink- and poly-affirming. Some clients come for ongoing therapy, while others seek focused, time-limited work such as ART to resolve specific memories or patterns. My clients tend to value depth, honesty, and a therapist who is engaged, direct, and human.
Approach
My approach is trauma informed, relational, and collaborative. I focus on helping clients understand not just what they think, but how their nervous system learned to survive. I integrate evidence based methods such as CBT, TF CBT, ACT, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, choosing tools based on what will be most effective rather than forcing a single model. I am active and engaged in sessions and believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, not a performance or an analysis. I value honesty, consent, and pacing, especially with trauma work. For some clients this means ongoing therapy, and for others it means focused, time limited work to resolve specific memories or patterns. My goal is not to keep people in therapy, but to help them feel more present, grounded, and able to live their lives with less fear and more choice.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I value authenticity, consent, and respect in all therapeutic work. My approach is shaped not only by training, but by lived experience of navigating complex relationships, loss, and periods of rebuilding. I believe people make sense when their history is understood in context, and that many symptoms are adaptive responses rather than personal failures. I support LGBTQIA+ communities, including trans and nonbinary people, and I take an affirming, nonjudgmental stance toward diverse identities, relationships, and ways of living. I am kink-aware and poly-affirming. I care deeply about autonomy and avoid unnecessary gatekeeping while practicing responsibly and ethically. I believe therapy should reduce shame, not reinforce it, and help people feel more grounded, clear, and trusting of themselves, especially those who have spent years feeling misunderstood or minimized.
More About My Practice
My practice is fully telehealth and serves adults in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. I offer both ongoing therapy and focused, time-limited work depending on client goals. Some clients come for traditional weekly therapy, while others seek targeted trauma processing through episodic ART rather than long-term treatment. I work collaboratively and adjust pacing based on readiness and consent, especially with trauma and dissociation. I do not believe therapy needs to be endless to be effective, and I prioritize clarity around goals, boundaries, and expectations from the start. I maintain a consistent schedule, value reliability, and aim to create a space that feels steady, respectful, and human. My practice is designed for people who want thoughtful, engaged care and who are ready to do meaningful work at a pace that feels both safe and effective.
