About this provider
Clients I Work With
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with over a decade in the healthcare field, I am passionate about helping individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered in their mental health journey. With training across the lifespan beginning at age five, I currently focus my practice on adults 18 and older with plans to expand services to children and adolescents in the future.
The initial intake appointment is a comprehensive clinical evaluation to ensure your needs align with the services I provide. I currently focus on treating patients with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with disordered eating, graduate students and professionals navigating stress and mental health concerns.
Approach
I believe it is essential to honor each individual’s faith, culture, and personal experiences when addressing mental health needs, and I strive to create a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for every patient. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves while building practical tools for lasting change.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I partner with patients navigating ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Because mental and physical health are deeply connected, I work collaboratively to develop a holistic, personalized care plan that fits your specific needs. This may include medication management, tailored lifestyle changes, and sleep hygiene strategies.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My path to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner wasn't just built in classrooms and clinical rotations; it was forged through an understanding that mental health struggles are deeply human, complex, and entirely workable. Having navigated my own turning points and witnessed the profound resilience of the human spirit through years of care, I know that symptoms are rarely the whole story, they are often an SOS from an overwhelmed nervous system or a wounded past trying to protect itself.
More About My Practice
In my practice, we do three things: we question loud thoughts that aren't true, listen to the quiet signals our bodies send, and teach our nervous systems to feel safe again. Medication is a powerful tool in the toolbox, but it's rarely the first or only answer.
