Clients I Work With

I work with children and teens, aged 3-22 and their families. Specialties include anxiety (including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, selective mutism), depression, OCD, ARFID, and parent support for ADHD. My work is LGBTQ+ affirming and I provide support around issues of gender identity and sexuality. I also provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.

Approach

I specialize in providing evidence-based psychotherapy, meaning that the approaches I use have been tested and backed by science. I often use a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT) to build skills to manage difficult thoughts and behaviors. I also frequently use an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, which emphasizes increasing psychological flexibility.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I have always enjoyed working with children and teens, and have worked with kids since I was a kid, as a babysitter, camp counselor, tutor, and religious school teacher. In 2009, I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University, with a specialization in Developmental Psychopathology. As a child and adolescent psychologist, I have built extensive experience treating a variety of concerns in kids and teens of all ages, from preschool to college. My training included work in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and clinics. Since becoming licensed, I have continued to refine my skills by working in private practice for the past 10+ years.
