About this provider
Clients I Work With
I work with questioning or late identified "high masking" Autistic and/or ADHDer adult clients in Texas and most states in the US via online individual, couples, & group therapy, from a strengths-based and neurodivergent affirming approach. I also specialize in helping therapists and those who have experienced narcissistic abuse.
Approach
The main theories I draw from include: Autistic Centered Therapy, existential, humanistic, interpersonal process, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), trauma work, and parts work. At times I draw from some aspects of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Gottman Method, attachment theory, and psychodynamic theory, among others, adjusting them to suit neurodivergent clients. I strive to conduct therapy based on the latest and most sound psychological theory and research as well as information from the Autistic community.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I am late identified, high masking AuDHD with a fawning internalized PDA profile. I work from a neurodiversity affirming and strengths-based lens. I have experience working with clients who are diverse in terms of race/ethnicity, neurotype, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship type, disability status, size, age, and religion. Being multiculturally competent and aware is incredibly important, and I welcome conversations about these areas.
More About My Practice
I run two neurodivergent psychotherapy groups that are held every other week for existing clients. One is for clients who are stronger in their autism presentation, and the other is for clients who are stronger in their ADHD presentation. I am thoughtful about who I add to groups such that clients are matched with people of a similar neurotype. I have run some other time-limited groups in the past as well and plan to offer more groups in the future.
