As a contemplative, sensitive soul, you may already recognize that what brings you to therapy is bigger than a "problem" we could locate within you that needs fixing. Existing in a world such as ours with deep attunement to the suffering within and around means we carry a terribly heavy burden. This can lead to overwhelm, exhaustion, despair, apathy, and loneliness — among many other ailments of the spirit. While we all find creative ways to adapt, many of them risk leading us to feel even more stuck or trapped. They can become addictions, troublesome relational patterns, stubborn core beliefs, or just a gnawing sense of discontent.
