Clients I Work With
I work with middle aged women who feel stuck, by relationship patterns, anxiety, previous trauma and life transitions, they no longer recognize themselves and aren't sure how to get from where they are now to where they'd like to be. They feel overwhelmed, burned out, and maybe a little like everything is falling apart.
Approach
I weave together depth work from a Jungian perspective with EDMR to get at the root of issues clients are facing. I treat symptoms as information, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship habits, these are information that point us to the work that needs to be done to heal childhood or other foundational wounding in ways that last. My focus is not on changing behavior, but changing the soil from which behavior grows to bring about lasting change, including transforming beliefs about self and the world.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I believe in the innate ability of your mind, body, and spirit to heal. And I know that unjust systems, trauma, burnout, and unhealthy self beliefs can stifle your ability to heal. I have experienced the power of therapy to create a safe relationship inside which I could expose all the tender parts of myself that needed care and healing, and in the process discovered my own wisdom. I show up for clients with that same tender awe at your power, and wise inner knowing. I approach therapy not as a top down expert but as a walk-beside you companion witnessing, encouraging, and sometimes challenging what you believe is possible.
