About this provider
Clients I Work With
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating a wide range of life experiences and challenges. Many of the individuals I support have been impacted by early life or relational trauma, neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD or autism, or ongoing stress that affects daily functioning. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, major life transitions, and the emotional impacts of chronic illness or chronic pain. My practice supports individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood and are looking for support while navigating the complexities of everyday life.
Approach
My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences and building greater understanding of themselves. I incorporate trauma informed and evidence based practices, including EMDR, somatic techniques, CBT, DBT, and play therapy techniques, as well as strategies that support emotional regulation and executive functioning. Therapy focuses on helping clients develop practical tools, increase self awareness, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in corporate leadership, healthcare, and community settings. I understand burnout, high expectations, and the weight of responsibility not just from textbooks, but from lived experience. As someone with neurodevelopmental differences myself, I also understand the unique challenges of navigating a neurotypical world when you experience and process things a little differently. This perspective allows me to connect with and support individuals who may feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or out of place in environments that were not designed with their needs in mind.
More About My Practice
Be Yourself Counseling is a space where people are welcomed exactly as they are. Healing and growth do not require changing who you are, they involve understanding yourself more deeply and creating space for the person you have always been meant to become. My practice is centered on helping individuals explore their experiences, navigate challenges, and build greater confidence in who they are. Therapy is a place to be authentic, to feel seen and understood, and to move forward in a way that honors your unique story, strengths, and identity.
