About this provider
Clients I Work With
Starting or returning to the process of therapy is hard work, especially when feeling low. Clients I work with are seeking a soft place to land while they explore their inner landscape, identity, and feelings of "too much-ness" and overwhelm. We collaborate on your liberation from depression, anxiety, complex trauma and shame.
Approach
My approach integrates evidence based treatments with creative and grounding techniques for whole person healing. If you feel stuck after years of trying on your own, change is possible. Your complex trauma or relational shame doesn't have to control your life any longer, let's work on it together.
Learn practical tools to manage worry, calm your nervous system, and regain a sense of control in your daily life. Work through feelings of sadness, emptiness, or disconnection with compassionate support. Receive affirming, knowledgeable support that celebrates all aspects of your identity without judgment. Develop safety to heal from painful experiences.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I bring 20 plus years experience in performance, theater and expressive arts to my work as a counselor. Integrating creative and therapeutic techniques offer a whole-person focus in sessions.
My orientation is towards accessible care and support, and I strive to offer skilled and experienced mental health care as well as exploring community and resource connections available to clients whenever possible. Our collective healing is bound up in our connections to one another, extending beyond the therapeutic relationship into our lives holistically.
I do not believe it is my clinical role to offer or endorse supplements, specific faith-based programs or doctrines, or any paid services outside of the counseling relationship. I do not advertise on or use social media or AI as a practitioner or business owner.
More About My Practice
I invite prospective clients to a 15 minute consultation call or video call to meet informally, for you to gain a sense of me as a counselor, and to explore briefly what is bringing you to therapy. Please email lauren@silverbranchcounseling.com to schedule.
I am exploring in-person session options for clients in the Thurston County area.
