Clients I Work With
I specialize in working with LGBTQ teens and LGBTQ young adults with depression. I also work with parents wanting to reconnect with their children, folks with Borderline Personality Disorder, and children of immigrants. I have extensive experience working with those who struggle with suicidal ideation and self-harm.
Approach
I work from a psychodynamic and relational approach, meaning we collect the pieces of your life story you've taken from past relationships and experiences and examine them, looking for new ways to write your own story. I also integrate skills and strategies to help you manage boundaries and tolerate uncertainty.
I offer a safe, personable, and humorous space to unburden yourself through therapy that past clients have described as gentle purposeful conversation.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I emphasize safety and transparency, and try to embody that in sessions by following your lead and being upfront about my intentions and thoughts. I also practice from an anti-capitalist, gender-affirming, and ND-affirming stance. I believe the context we live in affects our mental health and am open to exploring how these issues affect us, such as racism/sexism, politics, homophobia, etc.
