Clients I Work With
If you feel confused by your reactions in relationships, I can help. You may worry you’re “too clingy,” feel emotionally preoccupied, or change yourself to avoid losing connection. Or you may pull away when things get close, get the sudden “ick,” feel bored or ambivalent, or question the relationship when your partner shows emotion. Many clients I work with are thoughtful, self-aware adults who understand their patterns but still feel caught in them. I also work with adults impacted by trauma, including experiences that continue to show up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, hypervigilance, or reactions that feel bigger than the moment. If your nervous system feels stuck in old survival responses, therapy can help you make sense of these patterns and begin relating to yourself and others in a steadier, more secure way.
Approach
In therapy, our goal is to help you make sense of your reactions with compassion rather than judgment. We’ll explore how your attachment patterns developed and how they show up in your relationships today. I’ve been trained in EMDR since 2014, including advanced techniques, and use it to help process experiences that still feel stuck in your body. EMDR works from the inside out, reducing trauma responses, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm without forcing you to relive the past. Together, we focus on building steadiness, self-trust, and more secure ways of connecting so change feels natural and lasting.
