Clients I Work With

I work with children and adolescents who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional or behavioral challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, or difficulties managing emotions and relationships. I also partner closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing that lasting progress happens when families feel supported and involved. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where young clients can express themselves, build confidence, and develop practical skills to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.

Approach

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and individualized to meet each child's unique needs. As an Afro-Latina therapist, I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care that honors every client's identity, experiences, and strengths. I believe every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I work alongside families to strengthen communication, build healthy coping skills, and encourage emotional growth. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help children and families create meaningful, lasting change.
