Clients I Work With

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, eating disorders and body image concerns, trauma, shame, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. Some clients are new to therapy; others have done insight-oriented work and are ready to deepen it. You don’t need the “right words” to begin — just a willingness to show up. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of healing. When you feel safe and respected, meaningful change becomes possible. My role is to collaborate with you, helping you build emotional capacity, self-trust, and confidence in your voice. Therapy is something we build together.

Approach

My work is rooted in embodied healing. I integrate evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, RODBT, and trauma-informed approaches, while also incorporating experiential and creative practices such as movement, somatic awareness, and Improv Therapy. I believe healing happens not just through talking about our lives, but through practicing new ways of being. We don’t just analyze attachment — we practice repair. We don’t just name shame — we build the capacity to stay present while being seen. Improv Therapy is one of the ways I facilitate this integration. It is a structured, therapeutic group modality designed to help clients build emotional regulation, increase flexibility, reduce shame, and reconnect to play and authenticity. This work is not about performance. It’s about nervous system integration.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

As a first-generation woman raised between cultures, I know what it feels like to navigate spaces where you don’t fully see yourself reflected. Mental health was not openly discussed in my community growing up, and learning to identify, express, and regulate emotions was part of my own healing journey. I deeply believe that safe spaces change lives. I believe in cultural humility, in honoring intersectional identities, and in creating rooms where people feel seen without having to perform or shrink. I believe play is not frivolous — it is foundational. Before we had language, we had movement. Before we had insight, we had experience. Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about returning to yourself — integrated.

More About My Practice

Brave You Therapy offers both virtual and in-person sessions in California. I am licensed in California and New Jersey and provide telehealth services in both states. In addition to individual and group therapy, I offer Improv Therapy intensives for clients seeking deeper embodied healing. These experiential workshops are designed to help participants build emotional regulation, reduce shame, increase flexibility, and reconnect to their authentic voice through structured therapeutic improv practices. Intensives can be hosted in cities across the U.S. If you’re interested in bringing an Improv Therapy experience to your community or attending one in your area, please inquire to learn more.
