Clients I Work With
I work with cycle breakers: adults, couples, parents, and families who are ready to stop repeating patterns they inherited, survived, or learned. My clients are often insightful and high-functioning, but feel stuck in anxiety, trauma responses, relationship conflict, parenting triggers, shame, people-pleasing, overfunctioning, shutdown, or emotional reactivity. They may be healing from complex trauma, family-of-origin wounds, birth trauma, postpartum anxiety or rage, infertility, pregnancy loss, attachment wounds, or relational trauma. Many have done therapy before and understand where the pattern came from, but still feel like insight alone has not helped them change it.
Approach
My approach is active, compassionate, trauma-informed, and direct. I balance warmth with challenge, helping clients feel deeply seen while also supporting real movement toward change. Sessions often include EMDR, ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, attachment work, parts-informed work, CBT, DBT, ACT, and relational therapy. I believe deeper trauma work often needs more time than the standard 50-minute model, so I primarily offer extended sessions, usually 90 minutes or longer. My work focuses on helping clients move beyond insight and into embodied change, at a pace that respects their nervous system.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I believe healing is not about blaming yourself or your family. It is about understanding what shaped you, noticing what you are still carrying, and choosing what you no longer want to pass forward. My own path into this field was shaped by wanting to help families before the damage becomes another generation’s inheritance. I originally thought that would happen through child welfare, but I learned that I wanted to do work that helps people interrupt cycles earlier and more compassionately. I show up as a real person in the therapy room: grounded, honest, warm, and willing to sit with hard things while helping clients build something different.

Trauma Wise Healing is a private pay, telehealth practice offering extended-session therapy for adults, couples, parents, and families. I specialize in 90-minute and longer trauma therapy sessions, EMDR, ART, somatic therapy, complex trauma work, couples therapy, family therapy, perinatal mental health, and therapy intensives. I also offer trauma intensives for clients who want more focused work. Future offerings include drop-in somatic reset groups, customized nervous system resets, and expanded resources through my podcast, Grounded in 10 and my blog Notes From The Therapy Room.
