Clients I Work With

Teens (13 and older), young adults/college-age, adults, LGBTQIA+ clients, children of immigrants, individuals navigating identity development, people-pleasing and codependency, low self-confidence, difficulty setting boundaries, relationship patterns and attachment wounds, people who intellectually understand their patterns but still feel stuck emotionally, people trying to reconnect with their authentic identity after years of pleasing others.

Approach

I take a collaborative, trauma-informed approach to therapy. I believe many of the patterns that bring people to therapy (e.g. anxiety, people-pleasing, or a harsh inner critic) started out as brilliant coping strategies/learned methods to stay safe (AND acknowledging how they can keep us feeling stuck now). My aim is to help you build a sense of curiosity, understanding, and compassion toward these patterns or "parts" while supporting new ways of responding that feel more aligned with who you want to be. I may use EMDR, Brainspotting, parts work/IFS, and somatic awareness practices to help process experiences that keep you feeling stuck. My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, develop greater self-trust, and move through life with more clarity and choice.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself. I approach this work with humility, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. My values are rooted in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that healing happens through connection, both with others and within ourselves. I am affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and mindful of how culture, family systems, religion, and social expectations can shape the way we see ourselves. I aim to create a space where all parts of you are welcome, including the parts that may feel conflicted, ashamed, or unsure. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to support you in reconnecting with your own inner clarity and sense of self.

More About My Practice

At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing is a journey of reconnecting with your authentic self; the part of you that existed before you learned the myth that you are "not enough" or "too much." Rooted in a decolonized and liberation psychology framework, I honor the cultural roots and inner wisdom that have shaped your story. I do not approach therapy as an "expert" because I believe YOU are the expert of your own healing. I am here as a guide and witness. I provide individual therapy for teens (13+) and adults, in person in Orlando, FL (Avalon Park) and virtually for clients in Florida and Arizona. I also support registered clinical social work interns seeking supervision toward licensure in Florida.
