About this provider
Clients I Work With
I specialize in working with clients with ADHD, ASD/Autims, Neurodiversity, Trans, Non-Binary, and LGBTQ identities. A large portion of my professional training focuses on therapy for these diagnoses and identities. Together we can work to help you better understand yourself and the way your brain works, implementing practical strategies for navigating neurodiversity.
Approach
My therapeutic approach weaves together DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Thearpy), CBT (Cognative Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, and Trauma-Focused interventions to deliver the best care possible to my clients. I specialize in offering therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD/Austim, Neurodiversity, and Queer identities.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
My work is shaped largely by my lived experience as a queer neurodiverse person, and frustration in finding adequate understanding of these identities in the mental health world. I strive to be the therapist I wish I had access to as a teenager and young adult.
More About My Practice
Hi, I’m Spencer (they/them)! I’m a queer, non-binary, neurodiverse therapist who believes that everybody deserves a space in therapy. Working in mental and behavioral health spaces I have found that it can be difficult to find professionals who are competent and specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, and I aim to help change that! So much about therapy revolves around identity. Having a therapist who is part of your communities can make all of the difference.
