About this provider

Clients I Work With

I work with high-functioning adults who look like they're managing everything well on the outside--capable, reliable, the person everyone turns to—and are quietly running on empty underneath it all. If your to-do list never ends, you say yes before you've even thought about whether you want to, or you've noticed your world shrinking, you're in the right place. Many of the people I work with are professionals and caregivers dealing with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, or a life transition that's left them wondering what's next. You might be the one everyone else leans on, and rarely have anyone to lean on yourself. I help clients feel less overwhelmed, set boundaries without guilt, and build a life with more room in it for rest and joy--not just more responsibility.

Approach

Sessions with me are warm, direct, and a little funny—being able to laugh at ourselves can help us heal and bounce back. I bring humor, genuine curiosity, and practical tools to our work, and I tailor my approach to you rather than running everyone through the same framework. We'll look at what's underneath the overwhelm--not just the anxious thoughts or the burnout itself, but why saying no feels so hard, or how you always end up being the one holding everything together. I draw on dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and positive psychology-based approaches, customized to your unique needs. Expect a therapist who's actively engaged, gives you real tools between sessions, and treats you as the expert on your own life.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

Much of my career has focused on helping people navigate the patterns that keep them stuck--assertiveness, career transitions, procrastination, and time management. I've taught courses and led groups on these exact topics with healthcare professionals, students, and career changers, and I bring that same practical, curious approach into session. I believe your value comes from more than your output at work or your list of "lifetime achievements," and I want to help you rediscover that knowledge for yourself.

More About My Practice

OtterWell is a private-pay, telehealth-only practice, which lets me keep caseloads small and offer real flexibility in scheduling. Don't see a time that works for you on my online booking site? Reach out to me to see if we can find a better option for you. I offer a sliding scale, and I'd encourage you to ask about it even if you don't think of yourself as someone who typically "qualifies" for sliding scale--a lot of capable, high-achieving people assume sliding scale isn't for them, and that's not how I think about it. Just reach out. I'm a licensed psychologist in Oregon and see adults located anywhere in the state. Ready to schedule your free consultation?
