Clients I Work With
I am especially good at working with people who have tried therapy and had bad experiences but are still looking for help. I'm also particularly good at helping people who over-intellectualize their emotions. Many of my clients are highly self-aware people who understand their patterns but feel stuck anyway. If you're good at explaining your problems but bad at actually changing them, I can help you break the spiral and move forward.
Approach
My approach to the work is one that tries to stay grounded in easy to understand and implement pragmatism. In my mind, you are the boss, and I work for you. We don't need to try and force you into doing what doesn't feel like working just because I say so. Beyond that, my general belief is that you are the subject matter expert about you, and my job is to use my knowledge and skills to help you be the best version of you.
Beliefs & Lived Experience
I've lived all over America, attended an international school, and lived in the former Soviet Union for a couple of years. I've met people from all over, and the more I get to know people, the more I believe we really are just different versions of each other. We have different things we like and don't like, but ultimately all need the same things. We just don't all need the same amount of them. As such, in therapy, I'm excited to learn what makes you you and connect you to the best parts of who you can be.
