Clients I Work With

I work with individuals aged 14 and older who are experiencing depression and anxiety. My focus is on those who have faced complex trauma and find it challenging to navigate their daily lives. Many of my clients feel trapped in a fight-or-flight state, struggle to establish healthy boundaries, and have difficulty breaking maladaptive patterns of thought and behavior.

Approach

I adopt a casual approach to my work, creating an environment where clients feel comfortable and safe, as if they are speaking with someone they have known and trusted for a long time. I use techniques to help ground clients and acknowledge any upsetting thoughts or difficult feelings, which assists them in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. Additionally, I apply an attachment-based approach to explore clients' experiences from early in their lives. I am trained in EMDR and CPT, both of which have demonstrated positive results in the treatment of PTSD.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

I believe that everyone has the opportunity to grow and explore. There is always something new to learn, and approaching life and the world with curiosity can help us gain understanding, compassion, and strength. I enjoy the exploration involved in therapy work; keeping an open mind to listen to and learn about others and their inner experiences has not only been beneficial for my clients, but I also discover more about myself every day through this work.
